haven been updating for a while...

been too lazy...

besides, there hasn't been anything really interesting lol...

after my previous post, uni started and been busy with work...

submitted my AMS soon after, and sadly the unit i wanted at RWH, the co-ordinator told me i had little chance of working with her, since her unit is apparently too popular.. haha... in the end, i chose anesthesia at RMH... heard it's really competitive too...let's just wait and see...

the past few weeks were rather interesting, being all about endocrinology, which means sex hormones etc... yea, tht naturally involved many "jokes" during lectures and tutorials...it's surprisingly how normal it seems to be "normal", yet there can be so many things tht go wrong with the genes etc... maybe i am blessed not to have known anyone who is a product of a gene malfn... :) it's really sad how u are born different, yet it isnt yr fault...

PBL case was about this girl who presented with late puberty cos apparently she lacked a uterus, cos her Mullerian duct failed to develop fully...emm...she has a sister who might help her bear her surrogate child in future...but the thought of bearing a child for a family member just disturbs me... :(

anyways, went to support Kim and BeeBee at the Flare Dance concert-Eclipse on Friday night with pheyyee, rach and mel. it was awesome!! maybe i am biased cos i have always wished i could dance, but i cant.. so watching others dance just makes me so envious:) there were practically all kinds of genres in the concert, but sad to say, till now, i still cant appreciate those kind of street/hip-hop dance...just looks so messy... haha... the special performance by Flare Dance Company "Apologize'' was so good, it sent shivers up my spine.. AHAHA...

it is officially the last week of uni for this year... SERIOUSLY!!! 14 weeks just went by... i can already forcast how the next few weeks will be for me. my dad wld be here soon, watching us "mug" **(apparently dora has this theory she doesn't mug** HAHA) during the one week of study break... stress stress... then it would be exams for one and the half weeks before it wld be back of sunny Singapore... then would be gg to Spain and prob Cambodia for holz, and wld be back just before Christmas... i wanna go to KL again and hopefully Taiwan/HK too...it's scary how u plan so far ahead, but u can only hope everything goes to plan... ok, being pessimistic here... HAHA...

besides, Good luck for A levels, Dora :)

i cant wait for all the stress to be gone... at least even if i am not tht stressed myself now, pple ard me are:) so it stresses me too.. HAHA...

i cant wait for wednesday:)
ok, back to my music:)

concert
they gave out lots of free stuff tht day too. umbrella, army rations (biscuits etc...), laksa paste, maggie mee, Newwater (KNEW IT!), etc... but i tot the most useful thing was the wet wipes which was useful after all tht eating.. haha... esp. for the chilli crabs.. :)

can u spot the celebrities??
chicken rice

here is a round up of my holidays..

uni starts again and an early day light savings means that we have one less hour to our holidays too... i am still in holiday mood la...

anyways, singapore day on saturday was really good:) it was held at sidney myer bowl centre, a nice hilly gardens to hold it in..:) though the queues for FREE food was super long. i managed to cut lines thanks to friends but i guess if i were to wait accordingly, i wouldn't be able to have tried much. haha. but surprisingly, i would say the food was close to home:) and the hokkein mee, even if they used udon noodles instead, it still tasted good. :) i love the kaya toast from toastbox the most though.. HAHA. and it is the simplest thing to make! LOL.. the roti prata and the chicken rice was yum too...but the bakchormee which we queued over an hour for was a bit disappointing. the uncle put so much effort into each bowl, arranging the ingredients so nicely on the plate, we stood ages in the line... SIGH, and then the taste was only so-so... :(

but free food cannot complain right? haha. it was kinda cool they set up the stalls according to popular hawker centres in singapore, e.g. chomchom(rochester park), newton circle, dempsey hill etc... the main food sponsor was by "food republic" so there was the famous seargent chicken rice and the charkoayteow, BBQ chicken, chilli crab, nasi lemak, claypot rice etc...was available and cooked apparently by the hawkers themselves. but i was surprised to see a few "angmo" chefs>.< & the portions were rather generous too. i was surprised! :) tax payers money were being put into good use..haha..

there was a concert too. tay ping hui, gurmit (PCK and cast), spore idol Hardy, Daphane, Dick Lee etc.. were there to perform. i didn really catch much, due to my better interest in the food (LOL), but it provided entertainment while queueing. haha. i heard there was much propaganda involved, encouraging pple to go back to singapore etc... haha. i guess the govt. wants to benefit frm this event somehow.. haha..

anyways, the day passed really quick. i went at ard 12pm and only came out when the event ended at 5pm. thanks to Janice and Sharline I didnt have to queue to get through the entrance in the afternoon, cos when the gates opened at 1030am, apparently there was a snaking queue just to get in. both of them queued for over an hour and me, running all the way there, managed to join them just before they reached the gates. thanks so much:)

& sunday night was potluck at yitming's place...:) yummy food again>.<>

the the "turtle cake" for wirawan was made by us! haha. janet got 5 macaroons and stuck them to the side of the blackforest cake and with black glutinous rice for the eyes and nose, it completed our "creative" cake! all thanks to yitming's idea! haha.. happy belated wirawan. :) cute right>>

back to lectures :(
