took up kevin's invitation to planet shakers "are you game" yesterday night at melbourne high school...the school has such a gorgeous view, cos it looks like a castle on a hill over looking the city... it was such a hyper event...jumpjumpjump! lol.rock concert.:) anyways, there were games n the pastor was so lame... but still, lame pple are funny! haha. they had a food game, like fear factor and the winner got away with an 8GB ipod. wat a mess! they were blindfolded and besides drinking a whole glass of weird stuff, they had to pick up gluey, watery substances frm one bucket to another bucket. the whole stage n the participants were so messy! LOL. but sry kat, we cldn dop by...:(
had lunch with sam... she craved for Japanese so we had tht and later we went to get my red bean sesame ball...!! the closest to yum cha i can get at the moment.":) but the one at Chadstone still taste the best. fancy gg all the way there for a sesame ball. emm....dont think so... haha..

had a rather interesting day yest...
clinicals at 230 at RMH. it was our last clinicals before the abdominal exam two weeks frm now...
i think i will miss the whole gp and dr. yates, the doctor in charged of us:)
anyways, we each got our go at practicing our skills on a patient and there was this patient with a hernia at his belly button and it was an eye-opener cos he was a chronic alcoholic and the lump was protruding upwards so i assumed tht it was a solid lump. but chris showed us how it actually wasnt. n if u press it inwards, it would sink into the skin and then slowly return to tht huge lump after releasing.
after 12 weeks ,we have learnt how to do a abdominal exam, take a dietary history, an alcohol history, characterising the symptoms of a gastrointestinal problem, diabetes, most things with nutrition, digestion n metabolism of coz:)
but after this week i realise how alcohol and drugs really made people desperate to do things they may regret yet have no control. u come to a point where yr life daily is just drinking when u wake and until u lose consciousness and then the whole cycle begins again. u resort to crimes to support the habit and friends and family reject u. self esteem is gone, u get into accidents and injure ourself while drunk, etc... but the drinking is the only thing tht u enjoy and u cant stop till u fall dead...
anyways, tht is the sad part. haha. i got another patient to do an abdominal exam on and luckily i did most things smoothly..the patient had no kidneys on one side and was sore all over his abdomen so it was kinda hard to palpate and ballot...but still...:)
n my auntie, uncle n cousin drove over frm Adelaide, across the great ocean road till melb! haha. i dont think i can survive such a long drive. so there are like 5 pple my cosy apartment now... noisy and lively.. i like it but it means i will NOT BE IN THE MOOD FOR STUDYING!!!!! sighs... no, i better start revising soon:)
after days of depression and homesick-ness, i am slowing floating out of it. :) i think the presence of my relatives really perk me up!:)
after clinicals, in the evening, it was PDG's event as they were gg to celebrate the oficial opening of VERVE n MILANO. so of coz the residents were invited.
so my sis n i had to dress formal, which was convenient for me, cos i had to wear formal for clinicals too:) haha.
but we went to down, to the AUDI showroom and saw the many tall, local men and women in their nice lounge suit sipping champagne and beer, we felt so out of place. i guess they meant for my parents to come instead. both of us were like small flies in the middle of business women and men. so sam i i just grabbed two bites frm the few tht were being served, walked ard a bit, enjoying the live music. haha. but we scrambled out in less than half an hour, even before the GOH, the mayor, councillor john so arrived. haha
we planned to leave early anyways, cos it was uncle peter's birthday yesterday but he didn get a chance to celebrate cos they arrived in melb at ard 10 plus pm yest. after hrs of driving.
so we decided to have a nice dinner at crown.
he took the car out and it was kinda hard to find Crown, cos sam n i were only used to walking n didn know the directions for driving. haha. at least we got there in the end.
but NOBU was full so we went to Waterfront instead.:)
ok, i know, pictures of more food, but isn tht the only thing tht can spice up my life right now. haha.
i had lobster risotto, which was not too bad, besides the many peas they put in. auntie gina had a nice whole fish n dawn had salmon n scallop risotoo cos she wanted to be safe, n sam n uncle peter had fish with thai green curry.:)
all were good though i still prefered NOBU.. haha..
after tht filling meal, a trip to crown wldn be complete without a stop at GRECO. ahaha.. we took ages to decide on the many cakes on display... in the end, we end up with a strawberry cheesecake, coffee tiramisu n a chocolate eclairs. uncle peter, like most men just had a coffee.. HAHA> the cheesecake of cos was the best!!!
went outside, just in time for the fire display tht is on every hour, and the heat was so welcoming tht night. it was not tht cold but i was wearing a skirt so.. haha..:)
went back to crown, n uncle peter, auntie gina n i went into the casino while the two underaged girls, sam n dawn went to the arcade... HAHA... :)
after a few plays, we decided to find them in the arcade, and they were already holding tickets in their hands. so we continued playing games n ended up wth 49 tickets in total.
went to the counter and changed to three cute slippers which we now hang on our handphones... SO NICE:) each of us has one:) yays. but the guy at the counter was irritating. he kept flashing the lazer scanner at us, smiling, trying to flirt. watever!!! haha.
ok, we left crown at 12am n i was so glad for the car back ....... great day i suppose:)
p.s. yiching, this is the only thing i am gg to say abt food.. haha.

n i had a nice sushi lunch though kevin n i were stonning, while kat finally knew she HAD to stone with us:) lol... (hehe...ok, i know.. no more abt food)

potluck at lay's place... last friday...27th sept...finally got the pictures frm lay's blog:):)... look at the lunch/tea party... yummy:)

so hard to find his place la... cos we wanted to surprise him and lay had to trick him tht her friend wanted to see his place for rent...
the side entrance he told us to was facing a carpark (so hard to find), but there was such a nice mercs sports! and also a few ferarri...
after a few calls and breaking the "secret code", we got to his place!>hehe... he has a nice place... n till now, we cant figure out his roommate's name and lay kept calling him "room mate"...HAHA
n thanks to PJ n the rest for lying to me tht the cake was a banana cake, i still said, the cream tasted like banana...
n oh.. STARDUST roxed:) the guy really looked totally different after the make-over frm the pirate...so charming:) love love fantasy shows... never go wrong... next one, the golden compass... hopefully it will be shown in spore, cos it will only be released in dec...
