anyways, rounding up the holidays is such a depressing thing to do...
thursday had a really heavy lunch at lay's place with the rest:) wow, it was really a feast, as everyone contributed one dish:) i brought chicken pie (my mom's credit), and there was lots of fried rice, prawn salad, fish, spagetti, and we even had a small tea party after lunch... too bad the photos are not with me:) but it was so nice to meet up after the longest time! more than 2 months:)
friday was igames... basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton n dodgeball... IESS vs. ILSS vs. IMSS vs. ICSS... enginnering, law, medicine and commerce faculties... we won the cup last year and so we were trying to protect it this time... can u imagine i was actually in charge of volleyball for IMSS? sighs.. i haven even played tht sport before... so i had to read 15 pages of rules printed out frm Wikipedia!!LOL...
but there weren enough girls on our side for most of the games, so pheyyee, mel, pamela and i had to rotate around.. haha.. i had to play all three matches of volleyball (only won one agst ILSS, but thanks kelvin for coming down to play!!) and two mixed doubles of badminton (won one)...:) had lots of fun:)
and the thursday was our IMSS president's birthday!! happy birthday andrew!:) he bought fudge frm sydney for us...how nice:) n we presented a cake to him during the igames on friday.. better late than never right? haha.
friday night, we decided to go to crown for dinner... NOBU:) heard so much rave reviews abt tht restaurant so we deicided to check it out:) their concept is realy cool, japanese with a south american fusion... their menu was confusing though, so many choices so we took a really long time to decide... the BEST dish was their signiture cod fish and came with really yummy sauce:)
yest, was out with henry and was supposed to go up to Mt. Dendenong for some really famous scones, but the weather decided to play us out so we henry took us out of the city anyways, and to we dropped by doncaster and then to christle's place:) we had really nice muffins and coffee for lunch/tea at doncaster though i still wished we had gone for scones... next time:) watched "just follow law" at christle's place, another of jack neo's production. so glad there was this DVD cos i really wanted to watch it but it only showed in spore:) haha.
n i got a real high adrenaline rush in his subaru modified car, which was gg to race today:) boys and toys... haha...i think he was gg at least 140km'hr... you hardly feel the speed, but u do feel the power of the car :) hehe...
ok, i need to get back into full study mode soon!!!!

had lunch with kat and joel at don don:) actually my mom made hokkien noodles in the morning so i was actually watching both of them eat...haha...joel's hair is LONG again! haha... his classic hairstyle before he shaved it off..n kat, dont feel bad ya? hehe...
Hairspray!!:) oh, the movie musical was so hyper throughout the 2 hrs, it was quite hard to keep up with the enthusiasm! haha... but the songs were so nice and zac efforn was OF course so hot!:) haha.. though his hair was weird.. there is a "mouse tail" on his forehead! hehe... katyana almost fainted in her seat LOL ...ahaha:) i am sure the hair cld be excused...HAHA... kevin was commenting abt these two crazy girls beside him>.<
overall, it was a enjoyable movie:)

my mom, sis n i decided to go for our HOT CHOCOLATE CAKE at docklands!! haha... so we took the city circle tram there and yes, it was such a nice thing to eat tht yummy cake over-looking the waters:) there was this ancient looking ship tht sailed past. looked like the one captain hook sailed in the movies>>HAHA... pictures soon!!:)
took random pictures and then walked ard the area... we walked past bluefire and the food looked rather good, as it was like a brazalian bbq concept where they craved food at yr table... so we decided to have dinner there! haha.. right after tht cake we were having a buffet dinner! sighs... it was 6 already anyways, so we went in and had 2 entres... they were good:)
but the main grilled meats were rather disappointing cos they were seriously SALTY! lol... the 7 meats... lamb, beef, fish, sausages, calamari, pork and chicken were all too salty.. my mom and sis just tried one round of each and then they flipped their coasters (which had "more please" on one side and "no more" on the other side) around to the "no more" ... haha... i was left eating alone cos being a greedy soul, i decided to give all the meats a 2nd chance.. haha... cos the place was rather packed so they had new set of grilled meats. the 2nd round improved but still sighs.. haha..we sat there really long but talked more than ate...wat a wasted buffet...hehe...

n i realised after we reached home it was actually moon cake festival tht day:) LOL... it's really funny how i dont realise these *impt. days of the calender here, which i wld certainly have looked forward to in spore with family gatherings and fun... but still, i have been eating mooncakes from the day my mom arrived last week i didn realise tht the actual day was tht day... so i HAD TO cut out several pieces of the left over mooncakes and made my sis n mom consume them too:0 HAHA... so tempting to make fireballs and light lanterns but that wld certainly set off alarms ringing the whole night.. >.<>
had dinner with henry today:) vegetarian at "vegie mum", at doncaster... this is the beauty of owning a car... u can go places!:) the food was interesting, cos the menu was filled with dishes like "roasted duck", "coconut butter prawns", " assam fish", "satay" etc...meat dishes tht were modified to become vegetarian... i must say they tasted not far frm the real stuff.. haha..:) surely much more work to make them then just roasting a REAL duck and chopping it up.. haha...
weird thing was tht after the nice meal, we realised we were actually being served mostly FLOUR with diff flavours to make the diff dishes! haha... my sis ate like nearly two bowls of rice and then she realised her whole meal wld be like CARBS (rice plus flour)... haha....:P
still, interesting dinner:)
we sat there till the last table left and i am sure they were so wanting to chase us away...interesting to hear the two adults talked abt the stocks, business etc... so serious:)

PBL gp 12 dinner:) the place was vegetarian, which i really sld commerate since the last time i had vegetarian was like years ago! haha.... n the place, though in a really deserted corner, has such of cool concept. basically, you pay whatever u tot the meal was worth. so u just ordered whatever u wanted and there was a box to pay whatever you wanted as you leave! the restaurant just survives on the conscience of pple i guess>.<

Sinful, i know, but sportsgirl had a sale and there were other nice shoes too, but cant fit my sis so we decided not to buy them..sobs..hehe...but still, i was so exhausted by the time we reached home:) had a nice salmon dinner!!!! i had the whole head and parts of the body in steamboat fashion:) so filling, i felt as though i ate the whole salmon! ahha...
n yesterday, we really made full-use of the sunday saver...:)
went vic market with kat in the morning...
abt 11am, left for south melb market... i had a map with me!! haha... cos i knew tht i was gg to be the tour guide tht day for my sis n mom, n i didnt want to get discredited!! hehe...
yup, it was our first time there, and i must say the town is really nice:)
the market may be smaller than vic market but the arts and craft section was much better... bought more stuff than we tot...bowls, plates, even a heavy vase which we had to lug back to the city.. haha. all purchases are on my mom's impulse :P hehe.
ya, and the so called internationally famous dim sims at the market had a long queue as expected. and knowing my constant craving for dimsims, i had to queue too! haha. but sighs!!!! they were really salty and HUGE!! which in this case, wasn a good thing, cos it was just a huge chunk of pork and vegetables tht was TOO salty and rather dry... makes me wonder what's all the fuss abt the...maybe we have diff taste to the locals...vic market donuts are WAY BETTER!!:):) makes me wanna have some now! haha.
but we had nice coffee and hot chocolate at a cafe nearby before gg back to the city to leave the heavy stuff at home...
my sis finally got her prom dress frm wayne cooper:) i love her dress, so sweet:) finally this marks the end of several days of prom dress hunting! haha... frm city, to bridge road, to chadstone, to south melb and we were abt to head to chapel street, if not for this dress tht caught my eyes at QV:)
we went all the way to IKEA and got a several things which again were heavy! haha. after IKEA, we took the tram all the way to boxhill to have a look ard, and then we came back by train to richmond, to have dinner at pacific house...
n guess wat, the whole day went well, with trams coming as we reached the stop and me directing my two "sheeps" (hehe) on board the correct trams... yet, on the way back, i realise we were on the wrong side of richmond and then, we ahd to wait 20 min for the next train and alight at the next stop at parliment, then wait another 20 min for a tram back to the other side of richmond! at least we still got there.... had a nice dinner:)
but we had to wait for 20 min for the tram back in the cold wind! sighs... waiting for public transport in melb is certainly the down side of my life here!!!!!
i have new deco at home frmthe stuff we bought a IKEA and south melb!! my mom is really a genius:) so nice:)
plus, thanks to her, we had homemade spring rolls and chicken pie:) pls dont go back! haha...
watching HAIRSPRAY tmr:) n the annual royal melbourne show on wednesday:) heard it is a really good carnival:) but how come i cant get tickets for "the nutcracker" musical... i wanna watch:) all soldout.

after the friday affair at chapel street, i spent sat clearing and cleaning up my apartment so it wld look reasonably clean when my mom arrives tmr.. but i had to clean up again today due to the dust!! haha.. nvm.. cleaning is therapeutic..:)
anyways, on sunday, it was my day out shopping!!
went over to kat's place in the morning. was supposed to reach at 9am but i was so late due to the inefficient train service... and guess wat, i overshot the train station... was supposed to alight but i didn know the door werent automatic and i had to push the handle to get out. i was just standing at the door waiting and then the train started moving.. SIGHS!!! looked so stupid... haha... in the end, i had to stop at the next stop and take another train back. n i had trouble finding the platform for the return train too!! how sad.. i need to take more public transport...haha...
both of us were supposed to go to deakin but then the tram didn show up at bridge road so we decided to go back to the city for the spring fashion festival. guess wat, when we went back, the tourism office told us the show was cancelled!! sad case.. i tot i cld find my dress there.. lols. two events tht didn go according to plan!!
but anyways, we went shopping at the new supre and melbourne central...tried on a few dresses and took random photos...the most productive thing i did tat day was to take random photos..HAHA... but shall upload another time:)
met mel, rach, pj, kelvin n janice for lunch at yoyogi... was running late but the guys were later than us!!! after lunch went straight to bridge road for shopping... the rest had prom dresses all ready except me...
so kat n i went to Grip to try on the dress i saw the other day while the rest shopped ard...
took so long to decide whether to buy or not, but knowing me and my mom's taste differ, i realised i sld consult her first... took photos and sent it to her and then she didn like it:) so till now, i am dress-less..HAHA... hopefully my mom brings something nice over:)
yup, kat, kelvin, pj n i were tired and decided to grab ice cream at macdonalds while the rest continued shopping... i WAS THE MOST UNPRODUCTIVE!!! haha... even pj bought a tie, shirt and cufflings.. rach even bought a 2nd dress.. i didn get anything...so sad case.. hehe... but thanks a lot kat for helping me out so much:) and bearing with my indecisiveness.. haha...
supposed to go camberwell for Sofia's dinner... but i guessed everyone was tired so we decided to head back to city.

Hairspray premier! at Jam Factory, chapel street...
finished doing practical at abt 330pm when kat called and asked if i wanted to come down to chapel street to see ZAC EFRON cos he was coming to the premier of HAIRSPRAY!!:)
so i decided to ditch my gyming plans and went to chapel street instead... belinda had been queueing there since 3pm and zac was supposedly gg to be there at 6pm.
i reached there at abt 510pm and then the waiting game started... really cldn believe i was doing this lol... kat's influence.. haha... but i was quite frnt which was good.

zac looked seriously HOT in the suit... though i am not a huge fan, but i must admit he looked good :)
too bad he was mostly signing autographs on the opposite side, so i cld only video his back and sides... blame his big giant-like bodyguards...
the noise threshold was really Extreme! esp. when zac walked down the red carpet.
the lead actress was there too, though i am not sure wat was her name. i think it is NIKI BLONSKY, and she kat n the rest managed to get her autograph... better than nothing though:)
n after the frenzy, i decided to rip out a poster off the fence and YES!! i got a hairspray poster... haha...kat got one too and kevin wanted one.. haha.. he even called specially to ask if we got zac's autograph.. sighs... that boy ar... hahaha....
yup, went to dinner, grocery at safeway which took a long 15 min walk frm kat's place...and we decided agst. greco after much consideration for our stomachs.. haha...too full...

my sis finally got her prom dress frm wayne cooper:) i love her dress, so sweet:) finally this marks the end of several days of prom dress hunting! haha... frm city, to bridge road, to chadstone, to south melb and we were abt to head to chapel street, if not for this dress tht caught my eyes at QV:)
we went all the way to IKEA and got a several things which again were heavy! haha. after IKEA, we took the tram all the way to boxhill to have a look ard, and then we came back by train to richmond, to have dinner at pacific house...
n guess wat, the whole day went well, with trams coming as we reached the stop and me directing my two "sheeps" (hehe) on board the correct trams... yet, on the way back, i realise we were on the wrong side of richmond and then, we ahd to wait 20 min for the next train and alight at the next stop at parliment, then wait another 20 min for a tram back to the other side of richmond! at least we still got there.... had a nice dinner:)
but we had to wait for 20 min for the tram back in the cold wind! sighs... waiting for public transport in melb is certainly the down side of my life here!!!!!
i have new deco at home frmthe stuff we bought a IKEA and south melb!! my mom is really a genius:) so nice:)
plus, thanks to her, we had homemade spring rolls and chicken pie:) pls dont go back! haha...
watching HAIRSPRAY tmr:) n the annual royal melbourne show on wednesday:) heard it is a really good carnival:) but how come i cant get tickets for "the nutcracker" musical... i wanna watch:) all soldout.
ok, no pictures cos my internet is still kinda dead!! soon soon:)
if only the music during the afterparty at GPO was better (WHAT IS WITH TECHNO MUSIC???? *shakes head*)... also, without all the vomitting due to alcohol overdose (nono, of coz i didn :) )...the night wld kinda roxed:)
the night ended quickly.. too quickly... cos there wasn a stayover like we had last year...when can we have one again guys?? :):)
oh, n thanks to kat, pj n kelvin for the flowers.. is there really the theory tht no girl sld be without flowers on her prom night?? haha..:) satisfied..:) they are all splendidly placed in my vodka bottle!! muahaha:)
ok, one more week before the holidays yet i feel as though i am already in the midst of slacking:)

emm... have not been blogging due to my slow internet...
weekends passed so quickly...
after the friday affair at chapel street, i spent sat clearing and cleaning up my apartment so it wld look reasonably clean when my mom arrives tmr.. but i had to clean up again today due to the dust!! haha.. nvm.. cleaning is therapeutic..:)
anyways, on sunday, it was my day out shopping!!
went over to kat's place in the morning. was supposed to reach at 9am but i was so late due to the inefficient train service... and guess wat, i overshot the train station... was supposed to alight but i didn know the door werent automatic and i had to push the handle to get out. i was just standing at the door waiting and then the train started moving.. SIGHS!!! looked so stupid... haha... in the end, i had to stop at the next stop and take another train back. n i had trouble finding the platform for the return train too!! how sad.. i need to take more public transport...haha...
both of us were supposed to go to deakin but then the tram didn show up at bridge road so we decided to go back to the city for the spring fashion festival. guess wat, when we went back, the tourism office told us the show was cancelled!! sad case.. i tot i cld find my dress there.. lols. two events tht didn go according to plan!!
but anyways, we went shopping at the new supre and melbourne central...tried on a few dresses and took random photos...the most productive thing i did tat day was to take random photos..HAHA... but shall upload another time:)
met mel, rach, pj, kelvin n janice for lunch at yoyogi... was running late but the guys were later than us!!! after lunch went straight to bridge road for shopping... the rest had prom dresses all ready except me...
so kat n i went to Grip to try on the dress i saw the other day while the rest shopped ard...
took so long to decide whether to buy or not, but knowing me and my mom's taste differ, i realised i sld consult her first... took photos and sent it to her and then she didn like it:) so till now, i am dress-less..HAHA... hopefully my mom brings something nice over:)
yup, kat, kelvin, pj n i were tired and decided to grab ice cream at macdonalds while the rest continued shopping... i WAS THE MOST UNPRODUCTIVE!!! haha... even pj bought a tie, shirt and cufflings.. rach even bought a 2nd dress.. i didn get anything...so sad case.. hehe... but thanks a lot kat for helping me out so much:) and bearing with my indecisiveness.. haha...
supposed to go camberwell for Sofia's dinner... but i guessed everyone was tired so we decided to head back to city.
i had a swim tht night.. the sudden urge to jump into the cold water...hehe...
gave andrew an early birthday dinner at garage yest...:) kelvin as usual, brought his cards n we played a few rounds..
and i cant wait till tmr morning when my mom comes!!:):):):):) more presents i hope:):)
Hairspray premier! at Jam Factory, chapel street...
finished doing practical at abt 330pm when kat called and asked if i wanted to come down to chapel street to see ZAC EFRON cos he was coming to the premier of HAIRSPRAY!!:)
so i decided to ditch my gyming plans and went to chapel street instead... belinda had been queueing there since 3pm and zac was supposedly gg to be there at 6pm.
i reached there at abt 510pm and then the waiting game started... really cldn believe i was doing this lol... kat's influence.. haha... but i was quite frnt which was good.

zac looked seriously HOT in the suit... though i am not a huge fan, but i must admit he looked good :)
too bad he was mostly signing autographs on the opposite side, so i cld only video his back and sides... blame his big giant-like bodyguards...
the noise threshold was really Extreme! esp. when zac walked down the red carpet.
the lead actress was there too, though i am not sure wat was her name. i think it is NIKI BLONSKY, and she kat n the rest managed to get her autograph... better than nothing though:)
n after the frenzy, i decided to rip out a poster off the fence and YES!! i got a hairspray poster... haha...kat got one too and kevin wanted one.. haha.. he even called specially to ask if we got zac's autograph.. sighs... that boy ar... hahaha....
yup, went to dinner, grocery at safeway which took a long 15 min walk frm kat's place...and we decided agst. greco after much consideration for our stomachs.. haha...too full...
sad thing was i had to wait 20 min for the tram back cos i just missed it... thanks pj for "accompanying" me back... :)
n kat, thanks for asking me along!! though i still doubt i wld ever go idol-chasing again with all tht waiting, it was really cool:) n i cant believe i was screaming along...LOL.. hehe...

had clinicals today and guess wat, all of us waited frm 215pm to 4pm and the doctor didn turn up.. paged him several times he didn show too...

we shall have to reschedule another time probably...

but atleast we had interesting conversations during tht time, ranging frm practical answers to breast feeding and to rearing chickens and to the medical ball... sighs, wat random topics....
went to the spring sale at melb central today... met rachel:) to think i didn take this opportunity to grab a few bargains is such a surprise!! but i guess, i shall wait till sunday for a full fleged shopping spree!! haha.. :)
for now, i am down with runny nose and watery eyes!!! is it hay fever?? but i dont have a fever.... i hope... haha...:)

PBL gp 12 dinner:) the place was vegetarian, which i really sld commerate since the last time i had vegetarian was like years ago! haha.... n the place, though in a really deserted corner, has such of cool concept. basically, you pay whatever u tot the meal was worth. so u just ordered whatever u wanted and there was a box to pay whatever you wanted as you leave! the restaurant just survives on the conscience of pple i guess>.<
